3 H1931 This H376 man H5927 went up H5892 out of his city H3117 from year to year H7812 to worship H2076 and to sacrifice H3068 to Yahweh H6635 of Armies H7887 in Shiloh. H8147 The two H1121 sons H5941 of Eli, H2652 Hophni H6372 and Phinehas, H3548 priests H3068 to Yahweh, were there.

19 H7925 They rose up H1242 in the morning H7925 early, H7812 and worshiped H6440 before H3068 Yahweh, H7725 and returned, H935 and came H1004 to their house H7414 to Ramah: H511 and Elkanah H3045 knew H2584 Hannah H802 his wife; H3068 and Yahweh H2142 remembered her.

20 H3117 It happened, when the time H8622 had come, H2584 that Hannah H2029 conceived, H3205 and bore H1121 a son; H7121 and she named H8034 him H8050 Samuel, H7592 saying, "Because I have asked H3068 him of Yahweh."

22 H2584 But Hannah H5927 didn't go up; H559 for she said H376 to her husband, H5288 "Not until the child H1580 is weaned; H935 then I will bring H7200 him, that he may appear H6440 before H3068 Yahweh, H3427 and stay H5704 there H5769 forever."

23 H511 Elkanah H376 her husband H559 said H6213 to her, "Do H5869 what seems H2896 good H3427 to you. Wait H1580 until you have weaned H3068 him; only may Yahweh H6965 establish H1697 his word." H802 So the woman H3427 waited H3243 and nursed H1121 her son, H1580 until she weaned him.

24 H1580 When she had weaned H5927 him, she took him up H7969 with her, with three H6499 bulls, H259 and one H374 ephah H7058 of meal, H5035 and a bottle H3196 of wine, H935 and brought H3068 him to Yahweh's H1004 house H7887 in Shiloh. H5288 The child H5288 was young.

25 H7819 They killed H6499 the bull, H935 and brought H5288 the child H5941 to Eli.

26 H559 She said, H994 "Oh, H113 my lord, H5315 as your soul H2416 lives, H113 my lord, H802 I am the woman H5324 who stood H6419 by you here, praying H3068 to Yahweh.

27 H5288 For this child H6419 I prayed; H3068 and Yahweh H5414 has given H7596 me my petition H7592 which I asked of him.

28 H7592 Therefore also I have granted H3068 him to Yahweh. H3117 As long as he lives H7592 he is granted H3068 to Yahweh." H7812 He worshiped H3068 Yahweh there.
